Comments about Push Block, 16" :

I actually purchased this tool with the intent to use it as a "long-board" for sanding and faring a wooden boat. I didn't expect much as it looked cheap (orange plastic) and was fairly in-expensive. It has turned out to be a great tool and quite durable. I have used it for 1 year and the plastic and rubber show no signs of failure. The width is a perfect 2.75" thereby taking a 1/4 section of a standard sanding sheet. I use 3M spray adhesive to fix the sheets (use two strips and spray only the paper) and remove the used paper with a heat gun. There is only slight waste as about 1 1/2 inches of paper is cut off of one end. This works great for flat and convex surfaces as there is just the right amount of flex in the body to conform. It can be used to push stock through planer/saw but I wouldn't trust it to handle a difficult feed as I prefer a rigid hook to keep from slipping. Great tool and great value. Even with the boat done I would replace this immediately (if lost) as it has so many uses.
