This is the smallest tip that has a sharpened blade made on a 45º angle, with a point and a heel. It is used for intricate detail on head feathers. It is the pen most preferred by Laurie Lundell, champion carver, for the beautiful heads she carves and burns. The "heel" is essential for creating the softness in the head for which Laurie is famous. It is a good pen for making tight turns and for touching up burning errors. Song bird carvers find it particularly useful for burning those small errors.
