Excellent Bandsaw - Well Worth the Price
La Grange, Kentucky
Laguna Tools Italian LT16 HD Bandsaw
I added this bandsaw to the shop six or seven years ago (different color schemes). I kept a Delta 14 inch bandsaw for a while but quickly determined I would sell it in favor of the new Laguna. The saw was delivered directly to my shop from Laguna. The saw was an easy set-up. It was tuned when delivered. It is heavy enough to require several men to place on the floor and install the wheel kit that is mandatory if you plan to move it around. This saw cuts well and true with little need to adjust the fence to compensate for drift. Small (narrow) blades drift more than larger blades. I make furniture (period furniture) and cut many curved legs, moldings, and drawer fronts. The results are excellent. I ordered seven 145 inch Timberwolves saw blades at Woodcraft shortly after my purchase and one Laguna resaw blade. All are still in use after several thousand board feet of lumber (most were softer varieties of hardwood). The Laguna resaw blade is an expensive purchase but remains sharp and functional with good results for a long time long time.

Best bandsaw on the market!
I've owned my LT16HD bandsaw for about 7 years now so I have had a chance to really put it through some good tests. I do a lot of resawing and find that I can skip my planer when I use the Resaw King blade that came with it.
I've done plenty of full height cuts on some tough woods and it goes through it like butter. My previous saw was much lighter and didn't have the precision of this saw. I actually make many of my own veneers now.
I do woodturning as well as furniture work and have found it easy to break my turning blanks down to size easily and to round out my bowl blanks which saves lots of time.
Make sure you get the factory wheel kit since this saw is heavy.
