Best blade for the money
Mount Holly, NC
Timber Wolf Bandsaw Blade 111" x 1/4" x 10 TPI Raker
Yes, they're a little more expensive but they outlast and out perform any other blade that I've used. Been buying them for years and only had one problem and "Woodcraft" quickly did an exchange for me. Probably the only blade that I'll ever use. I've used many different widths and TPI configurations and my opinion of all of them is the same. Top of the line product !

Timber Wolf Eats Competators
Put it on and checked for resaw straightness and it was dead on
This gave me a perfect cut!

blade was too short
My blade was only 110 1/2" long, so it was almost impossible to mount on my saw wheels even with all tension off and quick release lever disengaged. Once finally on, and engaging lever, the blade was then over-tensioned and couldn't be tracked on the tires, it just wanted to move off one edge or the other and was unhappy near the center of the tires. This is all with the coil spring tensioner completely loose. Others report blade lengths too short or too long and corresponding issues with that. The blades would work well if the correct length.

Great blade but oversized
I ordered a 1/4" X 111" blade for my new Rikon bandsaw. It wouldn't tension according to the tension scale on the bandsaw. I thought my tensioning mechanism on the saw was faulty. As I was turning the tensioning knob on top, after the tension indicator reached 1/2" going toward 3/8" the knob suddenly turned freely, but would not tension any more. I called Rikon Tech Support, complaining that my tensioning mechanism had ceased to work. The Tech Rep asked the make of the blade and I told him it is a Timber Wolf and he told me that was the problem. It's 3/8" longer than the specified length. It is actually 111 and 3/8" long. So it cannot be tensioned according to the tension scale. It has to be tensioned by feel. Tension it to the point that there is 1/4" deflection when side pressure is applied to the blade. It tensions all right then, but the scale on my Rikon reads between 3/8 and 1/2". It's a great blade, but buyers should be aware that they cannot tension it according to the bandsaw scale, only by the deflection method.
