Norton Waterstone, 220 Grit
Works well for our employees that cut fabric with knives all day.

Use it to sharpen chisels and carving gouges
Too soft to be sure its flat when done
I do a lot of hand work so I do a lot of sharpening. I got this to do some coarse work. I like the Norton #1000 a lot so I got this #220. Problem is that the stone's bonding is too soft the face starts cupping in a few passes. A coarse stone is for reworking chisels that are needing a lot of work. So you need to make a lot of passes. By the time you've made all the passes the stone is cupped. You can bet the back isn't flat. Having to lap the stone twice in the middle of sharpening one chisel is just not going to work. Will work on alternatives to this stone. Norton #220 bad, but Norton #1000 good.

Good value for the money
Pahrump , NV
The case is supposed to double as a holder for the stone while in use however the the stone is to large to fit the area provided. I will have to make something to be the job. It is still a good stone.
