I have seen these in other catalogs and finally pulled the trigger when i saw them here. I got one of each and these things are cool. The snap open and closed like the real thing due to the maple spring. I used Georges Club House wax to finish mine and my son's. We had a blast putting these together. I want to get another for my desk at work to sand to an edge for a letter opener. Great gift and conversation piece. I will say the directions say to use wax to help lubricate the spring and blade...do not forget to do this as it does help the spring action. since the knives can be taken apart and put back together you can always clean it and relubricate it. I would like to see more designs.
