Poor design of spindle lock. I thought this would be a good trim router. I use my Dewalt and Porter Cable trim router more than this one. I am dissapointed in the tool.

Comments about Trend T4 1.1 HP VS Plunge Router :

Was looking forward to using this light-weight router. Features and sale price made it very reasonable. Unfortunately, the guide bushing was not centered to the bit and the 1/4" spiral bit rubbed on the bushing. There were no adjustments that could be made to correct the problem. I returned it and examined another one (same model) and it also had the same problem. I ended up buying a more expensive DeWalt and it works great.

i do all of my routing with a table mounted machine because i have limited use of one arm and hand. within an hour after setting up the tool, i was working on wood inlays. i believe this tool will enhance and expand the products i sell at craft shows.

Comments about Trend T4 1.1 HP VS Plunge Router :

I was surprised by the power of the 1.1 HP router. I like it as a lightweight alternative to my larger routers. Because of the weight/height vs. location of and shape of the handles, this router might be a little more ergonomic if the handles were longer and more upright - in line with the motor housing. Overall, I am very pleased with the router's performance and features and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight, light duty router that will not wear you out using it.

Comments about Trend T4 1.1 HP VS Plunge Router :

I use the T4 with Milescraft inlay kit and it's a perfect combination, the T4 is so light weight ,doing any adjustments/bit change is a breeze, most importantly this router is powerful enough to do just about anything you would do with a 2 horsepower one.
