A good blade to increase LN62 options.
Pinnacle Replacement Plane Blades for Lie-Nielsen #62 Low Angle Jack
At the overstock price, this can't be beat. I found the blade to be reasonably flat but it still took some work on the stones to flatten the back suitably. My intent was to hone this blade at 50 degrees or higher to have an effective cutting angle of 62 or higher. Works like a charm in interlocked grain and other problem pieces. The IBC blade is a different overall length than the LN blade so there is a bit of adjusting required during the swap. But after several days of hard use the A2 seems to be holding quite well at the steep angle. The downside of A2 is that it does take a bit longer to sharpen. The upside is that within its range of bevel angles, it should stay sharper a bit longer than O1.
