    This is a very good jointer and the price was the best I could find for an 8 inch jointer. In addition to handling 8 inch width, the longer bed makes jointing longer boards so much easier. Out of the box, the cuts were very smooth. Adjustments are easy and accurate. This is a slinding wedge type and the experts so the paralleagram type stays aligned longer and better. I have been using for about 2 months and am very pleased so far[...] assembling by myself was a challange, but that would have happened for any jointer that I had to assemble myself.
