Useful for carving, painting, wood burning, lure tying, Pysanky or any task requiring fine detailing.

This WoodRiver 7 LED Dual Power Shop Light can go anywhere in your shop and is excellent for providing task lighting. Great for scroll saws, band saws, drill presses, reading and just about anything else you can think of. A very strong magnet permits application to any steel or iron surface or clamp it on any surface up to 2-1/2" in thickness. Perhaps the greatest feature about this light is the 10" gooseneck that can be bent in any direction and stays where it's pointed! The WoodRiver Dual Power Shop Light has a 4", 3x magnifying glass lens, with 14 evenly spaced LED’s for lighting to see finest details.

    I use mine on the drill press and bandsaw mostly. At times I use it on the scroll saw and miter saw. The design, however, allows it to be used anywhere, as it has a metal clamp that gives a magnetic base anywhere you want it.

    I use this for some wood working projects, but I thought it would be perfect on my fly tying bench. I wish the light was a little bit brighter, and that the neck was longer. I find that it gets in the way because I have to position the lamp close to tools/vises... A longer neck would give more adjustability and usefulness without getting in the way. 10 inches is just not enough. I love that it can run on batteries and that the base is compact and magnetic.

    Easy to use right out of the box. I have one problem that I need to find a solution to. I own a Dewalt 20 inch scroll saw that has a arm lift assist attached to it. I tried mounting it on the scroll saw table but found it got in the way of cutting. The mounting clamp will not fit over the arm lift attachment. Although besides that the light illuminates the work more than sufficiently and the magnify glass enhances the pattern for easy visibility. I highly recommend this light for other scroll sawyers.

    I use this particular light and magnifier on the band saw for cutting scrolls etc. It is a very well built light but the head appears to wonder when it is attatched to a surface horizontally. Verticle position appears to be ok.

    The light is nice and bright, the magnification is perfect. The only downside is that when you position the light where you want it, the gooseneck has a tendency to "drift" a little to one side or the other. Other than that, it's perfect. Good strong magnet, and the clamp feature is a nice option. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a little help with smaller details that older eyes have trouble with!

    I find this product to be very useful for reading my precision instruments and scales. I use it daily for reading a drill grinding scale so that I might grind a perfect point on drills that are used in our shop. An added bonus is that I also can use it for tying trout flies.
