Product Information:

Ideal for router lifts, the Wixey Remote Digital Readout is a kit that can be adapted to a number of woodworking machines, including router lifts, router tables, and shapers. It has a remote display connected with a 3-foot cord that can be disconnected for easy installation and access. The large easy to read display reads in inches with fractions or millimeters. The fractions are displayed using “Precise Fraction Technology” which gives you 4 times the accuracy of other fraction readouts, with decimal inches displayed in .001" increments and millimeters in .05mm increments. Installation of the kit requires drilling two small holes in your machine using the drill bit supplied. Mounting hardware is also included. Fits router lifts made by Pinnacle, JessEm, Woodpeckers JoinTech and others.

    Installs in a reasonable time. Note: mounting screws are metric so they provide a drill bit and some self tapping screws. They do not state this in the instructions and I have heard of the screws breaking. I choose to use SAE screws and tap the holes.

    Have a much older Jessem Lift. I had to make the Z bracket into an L bracket to install. Installation wasn't difficult and I didn't have any issues with the hardware. Photos gave a general idea on how to mount but could be better, even better if they included a couple styles of mounting brackets. Function is excellent, less than a 1/16" error in a full raise lower cycle, and who's going to do that in a production situation. A Full turn on the Jessem is 1/16, exactly what indicates on the display, thats where this is valuable small movements on items that require the detail.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Installed on an older Jessem Router-Lift. No pictures available as to best place to mount. Used the included drill bit, oiled the self tapping screws and both broke before they were seated. Suggest you drill with a 5/32" bit, and tap the holes with a 10/24" tap.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
