I love this tool! I use it whenever possible. It can eliminate gluing completely if you want. The carry case should be redesigned a bit to hold the parts better, but the tool itself is a great time saver. I would give it 5 starts if the carry case was better. Buy it! I have already recommended this tool to my friends.

It's a great tool. Easy to set up and use to get great results. Was disappointed that the case can only hold a portion of the accessories.

I've used some pocket hole jigs before, but this one takes the cake. Glad I spent the coin. I've since purchased several other Kreg jigs and clamps.

The holes are very unattractive and must be hidden. I do like the screws. In most cases I prefer to just hide the screw with a 3/8" plug and sand smooth. Wish I had just bought the screws, but will find some uses for the jig, but I could do without it.

If you want to make cabinets of any kind, then this is the way to go. Mortise and tenon and the like make great joints but are nearly impossible for a beginner. Not this! If you can make square, accurate cuts, drill holes, and work a clamp, then you can do this. The Kreg system makes strong, durable joints in a matter of minutes without waiting another day for the glue to dry. Get it. Try it. You'll be amazed. I am.

It came with an explanatory DVD which does give many examples of how to use. Unfortunately, it nor the instruction sheet gives you much to go on when initally setting it up. This requires a great deal of getting past the "learning curve". Perhaps I will feel better once I have used it awhile.

Recently I bought the K4 system and to have never used a Kreg Jig before I was surprised how well and quickly it put face frames together. If the stock you're working with is the same thickness it works great, no glue and a strong joint to boot. I put together a joint with the jig then took it apart, I wanted to see how far the screw goes into the adjacent piece and the threads closest to the head of the 1 1/4" fine screw were just above the surface of the stock. Darn nice job this jig does.
