By Deeptree from Gastonia, NC About Me Everyday Reader Pros Good build quality Cons Mechanism is inaccurate Single use tool Too expensive Best Uses ONLY Saw bladefence alg Comments about Woodpeckers Saw Gauge : I purchased this item hoping for a quick and easy way to verify alignment of my saw blade to my miter slot, as well as my fence. However, I soon came to realize that this tool is a horrible unitasker. It can ONLY be used to measure those things, and for the cost, not really worth it. I was hoping to be able to measure the arbor play, and some alignment checks on router tables and bandsaws, but the mechanism is very restrictive...you can only use it in a table saw. :-( The rollers also create about .002" worth of play in the alignment which is UNACCEPTABLE in a product like this. I will keep looking for a better tool. There is a great video floating around the internet that shows other uses for alligning that is much easier to watch and understand this products use instead of relying only on the included instructions.
