Take their advice and get the next smaller size than you would normally, the material stretches for a snug fit. It is easy to work in and my only concern would be the loose knit construction, it might not completely stop the knife from cutting you but it surely will stop it from being a major injury.

These protective gloves seem to do their job exceedingly well. The problem, and the subject of most complaints, is with their sizing. My own hand measures 8 1/2" around, which according to ordering instructions, indicates a size M, to fit a 7-9" hand. In fact, my hand is comfortably at the high end of that size, so I should expect that glove to fit fairly snugly. I had read about the sizing issue, so purchased a size smaller than measurement suggested I should (i.e. a Small). I must say THIS glove fits almost perfectly, if slightly on the large side. Most of the complaints about this product stem from this glove being much too big, as delivered, given the sizes recommended. WOODCRAFT should ABANDON the sizing instructions provided by the manufacturer (I assume that source), and develop their own, much more accurate system, essentially, instruct buyers to order the smaller size. That would eliminate most complaints about this item, which is actually quite effective in preventing injuries due to slipping carving tools. It's difficult to understand why WOODCRAFT hasn't done this before now...

The glove is much to big and would make slipping easy. You should add in your advertising to order a size or two smaller.
