Once cured, it is baby-safe, resistant to alcohol, fruit juice, and water. It is excellent for use on rosewoods and other exotic hardwoods.     I find Deft Satin finish to be a great way to finish carvings, especially those that are not going to be antiqued. Adding Deft Satin really makes paint colors pop, brings out the natural color of wood, and it looks really nice on a finished product.
