Product Information:

A totally unique, quick drying, water based grain filler and wood putty accepts stain beautifully or can be tinted. Never goes bad Easy to apply and clean up No shrinking, cracking or falling out. Does not become permanent until you apply a finish. If you're ever unhappy with the way it looks, the color, etc. – just water it down and remove it. If it freezes, simply put it in the microwave to warm it up or if it dries out, just stir in water. This allows for zero waste! This might just be the perfect wood filler. Manufacturer recommends using only stainless steel or plastic tools to apply because Timbermate may react with low grade steels and turn black. If this happens, simply add water and remove it, or wait for it to dry and sand it off.

  • Easy preparation
  • Timbermate is versatile and may be used for all interior repairs, including repairing edges.
  • Fast drying
  • When you’re done with your repair, scoop it up and put it back in the bucket.
  • Timbermate protects wood, doesn’t harm it.

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler WB 1 quart Natural :

I used this product to rebuild a 65 year old window stool that had rotted out. Huge areas were missing so I built it up gradually as per the instructions. When I sanded it down and painted it you could not tell the window had ever been damaged. I also used it to bridge gaps between old and replaced stop molding, sanding carefully to continue the contour across the gap. Perfect. Sculpts nicely.

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler WB 1 quart Natural :

I have used this with all types of wood. It has performed Great. I made custom Hymn and Bible holders for the pews at church using red oak. This is the only filler that matched the wood. Yes, it smells, so open a window, turn on a fan, it doesn't smell after it dries. Ever step on a stink bug? It smells too!

Works Great- Awful Smell of Iodine

    By  Eric "Just Curious"

    from Reading, PA

    About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer

    Pros

    • Doesn't come out of grain
    • Dries to be very hard
    • Easy to thin out
    • Sands well- unlike putty

    Cons

    • SMELL SMELL SMELL
    • Smells like Iodine
    • Wife couldn't stand it

    Best Uses

    • Used it to cover grains

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler WB 1 quart Natural :

Was refinishing our Oak cabinets and then painting white. Worked extremely well. I used standard Elmers wood putty previously and this topped that easily. It gets extremely hard and sands really smooth. Only draw back is the smell of Iodine. Not sure why it has it- maybe for a more natural biocide. My wife could not stand the smell and put me in the garage instead of the basement.

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler WB 1 quart Natural :

I used this product for the first time on the edges of plywood to fill void that I was going to stain and paint. It took stain better than any other filler I've tried and takes paint very well. Easy to work with. I thinned it down as directed to fill in the end grain. Easy water thinning and clean up.

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler WB 1 quart Natural :

Used it to fill oak grain. It went on easily and sanded off easily. It came rather hard and separated from the container, but mixed to a nice consistancy with a little water. I put the scrapings back in the container for future use. The unlimited shelf life is a huge plus since I've thrown away countless containers of barely used filler.
