Product Information:

A totally unique, quick drying, water based grain filler and wood putty accepts stain beautifully or can be tinted. Never goes bad Easy to apply and clean up No shrinking, cracking or falling out. Does not become permanent until you apply a finish. If you're ever unhappy with the way it looks, the color, etc. – just water it down and remove it. If it freezes, simply put it in the microwave to warm it up or if it dries out, just stir in water. This allows for zero waste! This might just be the perfect wood filler. Manufacturer recommends using only stainless steel or plastic tools to apply because Timbermate may react with low grade steels and turn black. If this happens, simply add water and remove it, or wait for it to dry and sand it off.

  • Easy preparation
  • Timbermate is versatile and may be used for all interior repairs, including repairing edges.
  • Fast drying
  • When you’re done with your repair, scoop it up and put it back in the bucket.
  • Timbermate protects wood, doesn’t harm it.

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler, Water Based, 8oz, Natural :

Used only on one project, filling screw holes. I usually plug the holes with wood plugs, cut and sand. This time I used Timbermate instead and was satisfied with the result. It easily filled the screw holes and adhered to surface much better than other fillers. Since the filler is smooth and somewhat flowable, it doesn't leave small "pits" as much as other fillers. It also blends in better after surface sanding. However, like most most all fillers, more than one application may be necessary to completely blend in area filled. I might add, it is not cheap, [$]+ for 8oz.[...]

Comments about Timbermate Wood Filler, Water Based, 8oz, Natural :

I bought this product because I saw some reviews saying that it would take stains very, very well. Most wood fillers take stains very poorly, so this seemed great. I say that it takes stain pretty well, but far from perfectly. I know of nothing better though. It is very easy to work with, very easy to clean up.
