All three pieces in this set are designed for reliable, accurate layout and measuring. Divider legs are precision ground to fine, hardened points for perfect layouts. The 8" size is perfect for general bench and lathe work. Legs are finished with a durable black epoxy finish. All other parts are bright nickel plated. Set is securely packaged in a plastic wallet.

    Purchased to replace some oldies that I have been using for years and were getting worn out. Lathe work can be tough on these tools but so far they seem to be doing okay. Could be a little thicker material and stronger joints. Will see what happens after a year or so of use.

    Great value for the price. Nice sturdy set in a case. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five stars was because there was some sort of protective coating on them and it had to be cleaned before usage.
