Comments about 7" Groz Front Vise Hardware :

Bought vise shortly before I moved. About 1 year later I got around to finishing my work bench. I would have followed the instructions if they would have been included. After installing the spacer and the housing, I inserted the screw with the guide rods and gave it a test turn - the head snapped off the shaft. I would like to think it was my awesome strength, but alas it was just a poorly made vise. On the up side, in my .3 seconds of use - I had no problems with racking.

Comments about 7" Groz Front Vise Hardware :

I will preface this review buy saying this is the first front vise I have bought, and perhaps mine was defective....however, having said that....after many hours of preparing nice, solid hardware jaw inserts and meticulous installation, I have found that the vise racks so much as to be almost useless. Perhaps overkill, but I am now considering the veritas twin screw.....you get what you pay for usually!
