The pen goes together very well and looks great except for 1 thing. The plastic piece that threads onto the pen from the cap is VERY visable. Not very HIGH END in my opinion, but still looks good. I bought this for a gift for some high end friends...not sure I can give them this pen with the plastic. This was the first fountain pen that I have made and I do not know if this piece is common among other fountain "high end" kits.
