I bought this to use while building furniture and cabinets in my home workshop. I wanted a large, accurate way to verify square corners. I have smaller accurate squares, including a Starrett try square. This is very accurate as far as square. It is easy to use for machine setups and to check square in my work pieces. The measurement markings are dead-on accurate from the 90 degree corner, when compared to my Starret and Bridge City measures. The only complaint I have is that the square is NOT 12" long on the two sides that are 90 degrees to each other. The outer ends of those sides are rounded off short of 12".
