The most complete edition of the finest wet stone sharpening system available, the T-7 is rated for continuous use and has a vast array of specialty jigs available so you can quickly and easily sharpen virtually any tool in your house, backyard shed or workshop. The heart of the T-7 is the Tormek SG-250 10" x 2" grinding wheel turning at a slow 90 rpm through water which acts as a lubricant for faster grinding while it continuously cools the tool edge to prevent "bluing" the metal. After grinding, the 8-3/4" x 1-1/4" genuine leather honing wheel gently removes the burr and hones the edge to razor sharpness. The T-7 System also includes the Angle Master, Honing Compound, Stone Grader, Diamond Truing Tool, Square Edge Jig, Handbook and Instructional DVD. The Woodturner’s Kit includes the Tool Rest with Torlock, Universal Gouge Jig, Profiled Leather Honing Wheel, Multi Jig, Tormek Cover, Turning Tool Setter and Turner’s Instruction Box.

    I just received the T-7 + Woodturner's Kit this week and am still learning my way. Fortunately, the somewhat daunting appearing set of manuals is straightforward and very complete. The videos are also helpful in visualizing what the manuals explain. This is my first 'pro' sharpening system. To say I was disappointed with my previous attempts at using various manual sharpening methods would be a serious understatement. My investment in some higher quality woodturning tools led me to invest in the T-7 system. The results I have achieved so far in resharpening my much abused collection of wood chisels and hand plane blades exceeds my expectations. The learning curve was short, and all my chisels have been restored to 'better than new' condition. I've cautiously started on the woodturning tools, and have successfully resharpened a couple of the scrapers. Before the week is out I expect to have all the gouges resharpened as well.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    recommend reversing the threads on the main shaft where the stone attaches. When applying pressure on the stone, the nut has an annoying tendency to come loose. Other than that, the machine does a fabulous job and I highly recommend it.
