Comments about Jet Mini Lathe with Indexing Head, Model 708375 :

How I use my mini lathe is to turn gift pens of all sizes and thickness. I repaired handles on my home appliance. and remove bark off of small tree branches. All the mechanics of this lathe are excellent for beginners. It would be nice if it came with a light and wheels. Otherwise I and my family are happy using and learning what can be done with it.

Comments about Jet Mini Lathe with Indexing Head, Model 708375 :

This is my first lathe and I found the JML 1014I very user friendly. Not having the space to dedicate a stand or table I have to arrange it to use it and the lighter weight allows me to do so easily. I have had it 2 months and for turning pens and bottle stoppers I have yet to find a flaw. I hope to get into larger projects soon nd see what I can do with it. It has been a great addition to my shop.

Comments about Jet Mini Lathe with Indexing Head, Model 708375 :

I originally tried to save money and bought a different brand mini lathe which had VS with it for about $100 less than the Jet. I made a big mistake and returned the other lathe and bought this one. It was more than I wanted to spend, but it was well worth it to me. The feet help keep it in place from sliding and the motor imo, has enough torque to turn the pens I want to. I look forward to turning other things as well. The safety glasses that came with it had two of the right arm instead of a right and left and were not usable. A quick call to the support for Jet tools and they sent me out a replacement. I already had a face shield anyhow so it didn't matter too much. My buddy had this lathe and I knew it was nice. VS is not on this model but changing the belt speed is not even an issue to me. Its quick and its simple. Good book with good instructions.
