Product Information:

Reduce vibration in any of your belt driven machines with the Power Twist Link Belt! Common V-belts develop a "memory" and retain their non-operating shape causing annoying and unnecessary machine vibration. However, these specially engineered link belts do not develop a "memory", but retain their flexibility for smooth operation. Prepackaged 4' length. Maximum recommended belt speed 5000 feet/minute.

After a struggle to get it on my 20 year old Delta 14 inch bandsaw, I can see no difference of any kind. If anything it might vibrate just a tiny fraction more based on my nickel balance test. I could balance a nickel before with the original belt. I took it off and am going back to the original 20 year old belt. I will probably return the Power Twist belt. 8/29/2012 5.0 Reduced Both Vibration and Noise By JRBare from WV About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer Pros Easy to install Easy To Use Good Directions Reduced Vibration Cons Best Uses In The Workshop Comments about 4 Foot of 1/2" Link Belt : Replaced an 80 inch belt on a Rockwell 12 inch gap bed wood lathe with this and it reduced the vibration so well that I could balance a nickle on the lathe bed while it was running. I also replaced the belt on a Craftsman 12 inch bandsaw and it reduced the amount of vibration in that machine as well. The operating noise level on both of these machines was greatly reduced making it nice to be able to hear while working on the machine. I am very satisfied with this product and I would recommend it to anyone having vibration/noise problems with the machines in their shop. I installed one on my 1960 Craftsman "100" table saw and it took nearly all of the vibrations out of it. Before this belt change my saw couldn't pass the Nickle test, now it passes even the penny test with flying colors. The links were easy to remove and reconnect, I was up and running in 5 minutes. Replaced an 80 inch belt on a Rockwell 12 inch gap bed wood lathe with this and it reduced the vibration so well that I could balance a nickle on the lathe bed while it was running. I also replaced the belt on a Craftsman 12 inch bandsaw and it reduced the amount of vibration in that machine as well. The operating noise level on both of these machines was greatly reduced making it nice to be able to hear while working on the machine. I am very satisfied with this product and I would recommend it to anyone having vibration/noise problems with the machines in their shop.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
