The flexible shaft allows you to clearly see your progress while the sander smoothly follows the contours of your work piece. The flex shaft's high quality, vibration free design is optimally matched to the mandrels on each sander which makes them the ideal combination.

    The flex shaft is not as flexible as I'd hoped but it's very smooth and the chuck is high quality. I use this for mostly small carved items but will definitely use it on other projects as needed.
