Product Information:

When used on hardwood, these scrapers will leave a smooth surface without the tedium and expense of sandpaper.

When used on hardwood, these Lynx cabinet scrapers will leave a smooth surface without the tedium and expense of sandpaper. Available in four different styles for flat, concave and convex shapes of varying radii. Straight is 2-1/2" x 5", convex/concave is 2" x 6", goose neck is 2-7/8" x 4-5/8", and the double curved is 2-3/4" x 5-1/2". Scrapers are made of properly tempered .80mm high quality steel.

A "must" for woodworkers!

Made from stiff carbon steel (saw steel)

Used to scrape along wood to give a smooth finish

One of the simplest products that work wonders!

They appear to be roughly stamped or cut out and working edges, especially curved edges, need major work to make the tools usable. I expected to need to do the usual final finishing and burnishing but the working surfaces of these scrapers are just plain rough. They will probably work fine when I find the time to get them finished. I wanted to see what a scrap of Amboyna Burl looked like decided I would open up the scrapers to see if the machining might have left a burr and was pleased to see it had and gave the scrap a few scrapes and was pleased with the results. These scrapers are OK but be prepared to spend LOTS of time getting them ready to use.
