Thirty years ago, my grandfather made this house for me, at my mother's request. She gave him the pattern. He was an accomplished woodworker, and he used several different types of materials; nice wood laminate for the flooring, real paneling for one of the extra rooms, real wall paper & paint, etc. The floor of the living room folds up, and can lock with hook & eye. When folded, my house had a lovely "front of the house" appearance with a cute non-working front door and window. I don't know if that's part of the pattern, but it probably is. You can dress up the house so much to your own liking! My grandmother glued cotton fabric over the chairs to make them look upholstered, and made pillow "cushions" for them. The extra rooms are just walls & a floor on hinges, so you can fold them the opposite way too, and have a different look on the other side! Because the house folds up, you can store it in narrow places. I, personally, cannot review the pattern itself for clarity or difficulty. I do remember seeing it, and the diagrams seemed fairly easy to follow. I really enjoyed playing with this beautiful doll house and have fond memories of it. I'm so glad you still sell the pattern.
