Product Information:

Abranet by Mirka is a revolutionary new sanding material for dust-free sanding. This unique patented material contains thousands of small holes, making it possible to effectively vacuum away dust and other particles without clogging the disc surface. The result is seen in a very uniform sanding pattern and perfectly smooth surface. Since the amount of airborne dust has been minimized, the work environment is remarkably improved. This durable, long lasting, multi-functional material is used both within the automotive and wood industries as well as on composite materials. Sheets are packaged 10/pack and are 2 3/4" x 8".

I have the newer version of the 5" Delta recip sander and with the special porous pads that allow lots of air to pass through, my vacuum slows the loading of the abrasive discs considerably. A great investment for me. Previous abrasives I have used to level surfaces of strip built boat hulls in-between coats of varnish tend to load up very quickly. These very porous screen-like abrasives are just what the captain ordered. I have the newer version of the 5" Delta recip sander and with the special porous pads that allow lots of air to pass through, my vacuum slows the loading of the abrasive discs considerably. A great investment for me.
