On most rules the tab at the end slips back and forth to adjust for its own width when going from inside to outside measurements. The fastcap tab does not move which introduces a 1/16 inch error when making inside measurement. Other than that it s a nice tape but if you need accurate measurements get something else. Made in China.

I received a set of three FastCap Tapes from a friend, This was my overall favorite. I found the the flat back made it easier to make a fast and more accurate mark. In addition to to the ability to measure curved pieces and circumferences. All the tapes were extremely accurate, reliable, and well built, but just a bit bulky for there lengths.

I bought one of these for my shop and liked it so much I bought two more for my tool belt and for a friend. One of the new ones exploded the first day I used it (the spring flew out, cut my finger, and launched across the shop). Other than that, I love the two that are intact!
