The Nova G3 Chuck features an anti-release spindle lock for secure mounting on the lathe during forward and reverse turning applications. The G3 is designed for mini, midi and smaller lathes with up to a 14" diameter swing and accepts all Teknatool accessory jaws (only those designed for smaller work are recommended). Because of the G3’s small size and weight, the loading on smaller lathe bearings and spindle is minimized while still delivering big chuck performance! A unique automatic safety stop keeps the jaw slides from falling if the jaws are inadvertently “backed out” too far. Jaw slides are made from an iron composite impregnated with copper for easy low friction adjustments. The G3 body weighs 3 lbs., is approximately 3-3/8" in diameter, has a 1-3/4" depth and handles up to 14"-diameter bowls and turnings, with up to a 6" length spigot when using the standard 50mm jaws. Includes pre-threaded 1" x 8 TPI chuck body, woodworm screw, 50mm jaws, T-handled chuck key, manual and fasteners.
