Model 37 160. Proxxon’s new miter saw was designed with the hobbyist in mind. Instead of swiveling the saw head, the work table turns. The patented laterally moving saw head makes it impossible for the saw blade to collide with the vise jaws. This allows for a minimal gap between the work piece vise and the actual cut, which is vibration-free and leaves no burr. The table base swivels 45° in both directions with positive detents every 15°. The table mounted vise has an integrated tightening mechanism with a V-groove for round pieces and a front side groove for clamping thin work pieces. The 3-1/8" carbide tipped saw blade operates at 4,000 RPM and is powered by a 120 V DC motor. Cutting capacity at 90°: 3/8" x 2-9/16" to 1" x 1"; at 45°: 3/16" x 1-13/16" to 3/4" x 11/16". Also includes an adjustable stop up to 12". Weight is 14 lbs.
