The NOVA Cast Iron Stand provides rock solid stability for all NOVA lathes. Made from high quality cast iron, with interchangeable leg sections, this stand is the perfect companion to both the Nova 1624 and the Nova XP DVR lathes. Compact for easier mobility and set up, but sturdy enough to cope with the big capacity the NOVA 1624 & DVR XP has – 29” bowls (with optional outrigger accessory) and 44” between centres (with optional accessory extension bed). Mounting holes in the feet of the stand allow it to be bolted to floor avoiding any “walking” when roughing or turning large out of balance work. This unit is easy to assemble and is easy to clean since there is no collection area under the lathe.

    Comments about Teknatool Cast Iron Leg Set :

    The cast iron legs are rock solid and make for a stable, sturdy base, especially with addition of more ballast (i.e. bags of sand or cement). Getting the lathe onto them is really a 2 person job though. The delivery guy helped me get the lathe on sawhorses but getting the legs under it was also quite a job but well worth it when completed.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
