I really like the copper finish. It's priced right and has a very different look with a reddish/pinkish hue that nicely offsets rich dark colors like that of Cocbolo or even Purpleheart.

I've made hundreds of pens but haven't done any recently until I found this one. It's a nice hefty pen and very easy to make and assemble. In fact, when friends or relatives ask me to make them a pen, I try and steer them to this one because it's so easy. They look really good too. I like the copper finish with a reddish wood, or chrome and dark wood (Wenge is awesome). I've also been impressed with the fit and finish. I recommend this kit. I wish it were a little cheaper but you get what you pay for.
