Product Information:

SJÖBERGS of Sweden has been manufacturing top quality workbenches for over 80 years. Their entire product line of workbenches was designed to meet the needs of a modern day woodworker and to take advantage of the latest manufacturing techniques. The range of features is truly amazing and cannot be matched by any other manufacturer. The Elite series of workbenches is smarter and heavier than any alternatives on the market – anywhere! Designed and built by Swedish craftsmen of European beech, the top is over 3-1/4" thick in the center with a skirt of 4-1/4". All surfaces are treated with a premium quality enriching oil. The specially developed vises provide enormous clamping power across their full 23-1/2" width. You'll be amazed by their clamping speed, accuracy and smoothness. Suitable for right or left handed persons – in less than two minutes, the vise can be removed and fitted on either side of the bench. A double row of 1" round dogs work from both vises. Both benches are available with (as shown) or without a storage cabinet.

  • Table surface is 35-1/2" off the floor.
  • Top is 71" long and 23-5/8" wide.
  • Vises open 5-3/4", maximum clamping distance is 94-1/2".

    I have been looking for a good work bench for several years. I don't care for the euro style benches. This one is just like my old one except this one is sturdy and bigger. The cost is a little high but I think it will pay for itself. Vices are huge and sturdy. They have adjustments on the rectangular guides. Very beefy vices. Putting it together is a two man job. The top came in at about 200 pounds. Leg set was nothing compared to the top. Easy to assemble. I have not put the cabinets together yet. Instructions for the cabinets are a little lacking. Just pictures. But they should not be any trouble. The ONLY con I have with my new bench is that the faces of both vices and the edge board behind them are UNFINISHED. I would have thought they could have opened the vices to finish inside the vices. But that is a small problem and easily taken care of with a little oil. Bottom line: I like my new bench.

    I saw this bench 6 months ago at my local Woodcraft store and was completely impressed. It is a lot of money, but money well spent. I started a lay-away plan with an $800 deposit. I had no idea how long it would take to pay it off. Well 2 weeks ago Woodcraft had a 10% off sale which reduced my price by $215 if I paid it off that weekend. I sold some personal items to make the sale. My final price with tax was [$]. Every joint on this bench is absolutely perfect and flawless. I am astounded by this bench. I never imagined I would be so passionate about a bench. A lot of people advise me and say I should have built my own, would never happen, I challenge any woodworker to reproduce this massive bench for the same money. I looked at Pinnacle and Lie-Nielsen, but it is like comparing apples and oranges. Thanks SjobergsVP

    I use this bench for all types of woodworking tasks. The top came very flat and is nice and heavy. The base is strong so there is no movement of the top or the bench when working on it. I've worked on Ulmia and Lie Nielsen benches and this is as good as and in some ways better than those benches. The under cabinet is a nice add-on and the quality is top notch; the assembly was a breeze.

    It's very heavy just like I wanted. I can bounce my weight into it and it doesn't budge. I thought the cabinet was a little flimsy for what it cost. There was a little chip on one corner of the bench top that disgusted me but was too small to call and complain so I'll just live with it.
