I looked at this saw at $1100.00...then I thought about this saw at $1200.00. The next year I pondered about this saw at $1300.00. This year I bought this saw for [$]. What a deal!!!!!!!! Set and cleaned it up in about an hour made a few adjustments and BAM!!! Sawing fire wood in to Turkey call blanks. I could not be more pleased.

I replaced the blade with a 3TPI resaw blade and ran enough wood through this to fill my dust collector one afternoon. On the hardest, woods this is flawless. On woods with a little bit of resin you just have to go slower. On low speed this saw cuts faster than any other saw I've used, so its not a problem. My bud's Griz and Jet's cant come close to what this can do.

Any bandsaw should be properly set up and maintained to operate properly and safely. This one is no exception. I like my 18" Rikon.

The fence resaw attachment is handy. The blade guides are a bit tedious to adjust.

Have had this for a few weeks and put it thru some paces. Started with factry blade and seasoned wht oak 2" x 6", worked like a dream. Then tried a bandsaw box with a cherry block 10" x 10" x12" and a 1/4" blade, swweeeet. I like the ability to change the speeds but it would be great if it could be done with a control knob instead of changing the belts. I changed to a 1 - 1/4" blade and ran a 10" x 3" wide piece of purple heart thru resaw. Easy cutting with little drift. Over all I really like this saw but do be advised, if you get one, have some good strong backs available or a fork truck cause it is HEAVY.

Very powerful, 1-1/4" blade goes through walnut log like butter. Runs very straight and quiet.Easy to change blades and adjust rollers with tools supplied with the saw.

Bought the saw on sale from Woodcraft a few weeks ago, with the sale, picking it up at the store, and the few bucks I got on my 45 year old 14" delta this was quite a deal for me. I was looking for something that had the power to re-saw some really hard exotic woods and give me the ability to do book matched panel doors. Getting the 2.5 hp and 220 volt machine under a thousand bucks was just too good to pass by. Took a few hours to get it out of the crate and do the limited assembly, a few more minutes to learn the adjustments and I was off using the saw. Bolted it to the floor as they recommended both for safety, at 500lbs not a machine you want to fall on you, and to minimize travel across my slick shop floor, also helped remove the little vibration that was present. Looking forward to exploring the capabilities of this machine long term, can't see outgrowing this one for at least a few more years.
