Cut perfect miters consistently with Kreg's Precision Miter Gauge System. A number of unique features makes this one of the most precise miter gauges on the market today. Factory calibrated accuracy starts with a gauge head that is machined on a computerized milling machine for absolute precision. An easy-to-read Vernier scale enables precise angle adjustments up to 1/10th of a degree. Five patented bar adjusters take up the play in the miter slot for a perfect fit.     This miter gauge is very accurate and beautifully made except for one important problem: the t-slot bar is aluminum and has too much flex. I bought this miter gauge to dado slots in the sides of a chest of drawers because I was getting some flex with the miter gauge that came with my Delta Contractor table saw (and has a steel bar). When I saw that the flex was worse with this one I put it aside and went back to the original. It should be fine for smaller pieces that do not stress it as much.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I have already used the miter gauge on my old table saw and it has improved the accuracy of my cuts and allowed me to make cuts on smaller pices of wood than I would otherwise have attempted. It has improved the safety of my use of the saw. I am sure as i devlope my skills I will come up with more and more techniques with this tool.

    After installing the handle, the miter head is angled down and the face is no longer at 90 degrees to the miter bar. I emailed Kreg and was told a washer was added to make miter adjustment easier and my miter head was not milled correctly. New miter heads are angled to compensate for the washer. I was told a "correct" miter head would be shipped. I have not received it after a couple of weeks. In addition, this does not correct the problem of added strain to the miter head/bar attachment point when the handle is installed. Milling the miter head at an angle to compensate for a washer does not seem to be a viable corrective solution. If the problem is not corrected soon, it will be returned.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Accuracy in question: On assembly of the first step I encountered an issue with tightening the handle into the Miter head. When the handle is tightened the miter head face is torqued out of square. This is due to the miter head not riding flush on the miter bar. I am in contact with Kreg to determine if this is a factory assembly issue or a design issue.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
