Product Information:

Titebond Cold Press glue is a high-quality, economical alternative to contact cement for large-scale bonding of veneers to flat surfaces. It is specifically formulated for cold press laminating of wood to solid woods, particleboard, MDF, plywood and other porous materials. It offers a moderate speed of set, a translucent glue line and contains none of the harmful or corrosive fumes typical of most contact cements. It also prevents bleed-through on open-grained and non-backed wood veneers. Set time is usually 15 minutes at room temperature, allow 24 hours full cure.

  • Economical alternative to contact cement
  • Formulated to minimize "bleed-through"
  • Moderate speed of set
  • No harmful vapors
  • Safe - nonflammable

Comments about Titebond Cold Press Veneer Glue, Quart :

Simply the easiest glue I have found for veneering! No mixing, easily spreadable, good open time, dries hard for no movement. Plus if you are using a vaccum press the glue does not need air to cure.

Comments about Titebond Cold Press Veneer Glue, Quart :

I used this veneer glue on a large surface (7'x 1') and had sufficient time to spread the glue, apply the veneer, cover with layers of wood, and add clamps. When dry, the veneer was firmly attached with no bubbles. Note that this is a yellow glue and is not reversible like a hide glue.

Comments about Titebond Cold Press Veneer Glue, Quart :

I've been searching for a glue with a long open time for quite some time. I've used Titebond's hyde glue but often its to thick. This is a thin watery glue thats super strong and almost invisible! I can glue large door panels and 10 minutes later readjustments are easy. No bleed thru on thin or porus veneers in my vacuum press either. Great product!
