    Fast cutting and haze finish

    Very hard stone with 1 perfect side, the other side 1/4in surface layer substrate contained loose aggregates, thus huge scratches (6-15 microns). The good side cut quite fast and yields finished equivalent to around 6-8K (sharp edges - resulted in a haze). My spyderco fine-ceramic stone produced more polish (almost mirror) finishes. My 6 yrs old Kitayama 8K stone produces mirror edge/blade. I hope, Woodcraft would offers CBN (cubic boron nitrite) paste, it would be great for giving a super finish to knives and other wood working tools.

    This water stone is clean and smooth. Flat and fine. With a steady hand this stone gives a desired polish on any blade. Stone needs to be soaked a little before use. I would recommend this product. Once you buy this stone and use it, you will notice its value. Easy to clean and with a level hand, you can avoid making groves in this stone as its semi-soft.

    Very good finisher for sharpening straight razors. This stone is a very slow cutter, however. A matching slurry stone speeds the cutting process.

    Awesome finishing stone. I just started to use straight razors, and wow did this stone make a huge difference! It's hard and smooth. A solid work horse that will probably be around for my kids. Also probably one of the most reasonably priced stones on the market!
