Product Information:

These handy pads are made of a special woven fabric that holds a finish much better than a cotton cloth or rag. The 3" diameter pad is a dense 3/16" thick and fits nicely even in a gloved hand making them perfect for applying stains, oils, and waxes.

  • Work as a great alternative to cumbersome rags, reducing waste.
  • End the need for folding and possible contamination of your finish.
  • The pads work great for the inside of bowls and can be used in conjunction with our bowl sanding kit.

    I use nothing but these pads to polish wax and friction polish that I've applied to a spinning piece on the lathe. They're just the right combination of soft enough and dense enough to be perfect. I also use them for wiping on cleaning liquids and anything that won't harden. A single pad can last for a week to wipe down a turned piece with Mineral Spirits or Alcohol to remove sawdust.

    Much better than old t-shirts or even purchased rags, they allow both even application of a finish or -- used dry -- polishing one already applied while the turning is spinning on the lathe.
