Jet Red Assurance Program


The Jet 3-speed air filtration systems clean and circulate the air in your shop while you work, filtering 98-99% of all particles, five microns in size and 85% of particles one micron in size. And with the timer, you come into your shop, set the timer for two, four or eight hours and forget it. The system automatically shuts down at the time you've set.

They use a convenient standard size outer filter, run quietly and come with a remote control for convenience.Grabs 98% of anything from 5 microns up in size and 89% of single micron size particles. Prefilter is 5 micron. Inner filter is 1 micron. Outer filter is a disposable electrostatic filter with a paper frame. Units are designed to be set on a workbench or hung from the ceiling, either tight against the ceiling or hanging from chains. Eyebolts are in place for hanging the unit. The three pocket filter fits inside, and can be blown out. Filters are easily replaced, without tools.

The powder coated metal box is heavy duty. Fan and motor are also constructed for durability. Two easy grip handles inset on both sides for ease of handling. Quiet running so it can be left on during work. Model AFS-1000B is 1044 CFM and has 3 speed: 550, 702 and 1044 CFM. The AFS-1000B can filter the air in a 20' x 20' x 8' shop in under five minutes, and filter the air in that size shop a dozen times an hour. Includes a paper filter.

    Powerful fan is reasonably quiet for the amount of air it moves. Clears the air well in my 20x30 little wood shop. Here's the tricky part... at 60-pounds +, you're not going to heft this up to the ceiling by yourself, PROBABLY. I figured out how to do it myself by stringing a bunch of bungee cords from the ceiling hooks, then lifting the box by hand about 3-6" at a time and rearranging and removing the bungees until it was about 6" from the ceiling hooks, and then I hooked it up with ornamental link-chains. Only problem was: the included mounting loops are not the same spacing as the ceiling beams, so the chains are at an angle. Because the motor isn't centrally-located in the box, the center of gravity isn't halfway between the loops, either, so it's hard to get it to hang level, but overall, that's no big deal. Now, if it only had the indicator dial that the Delta 3-speed has, it would be perfect. OH, and the remote seems to work from any direction; it appears to not be a line-of-sight infrared at all, or at least seems to work as well as any radio-frequency remote I've ever used. Love it! Wish I'd installed one years ago!

    I really researched this one. Customer Service at Jet was very helpful answering all my questions before I purchased as were the people at Woodcraft. It came packed very carefully with foam inserts inside to protect the fan housing. Runs quiet works great and there are no problems with the remote with it being plugged in to the same circuit as my standard fluorescent lights. I was worried about this because of comments from others and decided I would just add another circuit if I had to as I really wanted to do something about the dust. The line of sight issue with the remote doesn't bother me either I just keep the remote on my bench which is near the unit anyway. Not to bad of an install if you have two people and a couple of six foot ladders. We put the unit on top of the ladders with two small hydraulic jacks and 2x blocks under it, jacked it up and that held it to the ceiling until I could screw it to the 2x joists and blocking. The unit is well built and I recommend it.

    Hung the Jet Unit from the ceiling of my shop, air hosed the saw dust and dirt from the shelves, let the unit run for two hours, and my shop is clean. My wife commented that my shop even smells alot cleaner. I would highly recommend this unit to any body.

    I only installed it about a week ago, but so far the Jet air filtration unit seems to be very effective at doing its job. The one downside is that the remote control does not work consistently, so that sometimes I need to get up on a stool to push the controls on the unit itself (which I mounted on the ceiling to avoid taking up precious wallspace in my 18 x 18 ft shop-in-the-making).

    I saw this reviewed in a magazine, FWW I think. It won the pick. It clears the air of dust particles really quickly after stirring them up with my air hose. My only complaint is that they may have provided better mounting hardware since what they provided was difficult for me to do by myself. Get someone to help you mount if you are mounting to the ceiling.
