Comments about Water-Based Grain Filler, Mahogany, 1 Quart :
I bought Mahogany color because I need to pore fill some mahogany. This stuff is bright pink, and dries the same way. I wrote to Woodcraft and Behlen to see if something was wrong. Both said it's correct, and I can add acrylic dye to it if I want a different color. Forget that. Why is this called "Mahogany"??
Color is very bad

I had to fill a mahogany bed headboard and decided to get the mahogany filler, despite the magazine article suggesting Brown for mahogany wood. My choice was a big mistake. The mahogany filler really does look like Pepto Bismal and provides an extremely fake looking pink color to the wood. I feel mislead by Behlen. I now have to order the brown filler. The filler did provide a very smooth surface.
Pepto?

I am working with some Sapele and was directed towards the Mahogany tint. After first application it looked like Pepto. I sanded and applied a Nitro coat but the color was just not there. My first thought was I did not have it mixed properly. After more mix and stir, same result. It does appear to fill the grain as advertised but will not work for my project color.
