Those loads are developed in a lab under ideal conditions, and probably without a lot of cycling. I recommend using for loads up to ~1/2 the rated load. Excellent for repetitive clamping and fixtures. I used this straight line toggle clamp to build a pen press on a 2 1/2" X 12" oak board. It works perfectly and cost less than $10. a 6"X 1/4" X20 allthread and a T nut completed the adjustable stop end. I use several smaller clamps of this type as hold downs for other projects.
