With the included Flexcut gold polishing compound, the slipstrop works to keep an edge on carving tools that is unsurpassed. The slipstrop is specially molded to polish and deburr hard to reach areas inside v-tools and gouges, as well as do a fine job on outside bevels. The Flexcut gold polishing compound applies to the strop like a crayon, and quickly polishes hardened steel. Together, the two produce the finest possible edge for carving tools.

    Great product! I purchased a beginner set of carving knives but had nothing but old wet stones to keep them sharp. I hadn't had great success keeping pocket knives sharpened with the stones and didn't want to dull my carving knives worse than they were. I carved several projects while trying to figure out the best product to keep them sharp. Found this product and after a few quick passes with this strop I found immediate results. Easy tool maintenance. Really worth the money. Really glad I purchased and tried this strop. Worry about sharpening my carving knives is gone.

    The leather clad portions of the strop work well but the profiles don't load up very well with the compound so it's hard to tell if they are working effectively.

    Great product, I have a Pfeil 12 tool intermediate carving set and found them to be extremely sharp, but after a few quick passes with this strop I found immediate results. Easy tool maintenance. Really worth the money! A definitely worthy product, but I'd like to see it in a 6in. version.
