Product Information:

The anti-kickback design of these industrial quality carbide router bits limits stock feed rate for safer router operation. A final 400 grit, wet grind on the K20 German carbide produces a clean, extremely sharp and durable cutting edge. Precision Japanese bearings ensure smooth edge routing operations. These bit sets represent great value over buying the corresponding individual bits separately. The 20 Piece 1/2" Shank Set includes: 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2" dia. straight; 1/2" dia. bevel trim; 1/2" dia. V-groove; 1/2" dia. Bevel flush trim; 1/2" flush trim; 3/8" & 1/2" dia. 14 degree dovetail; 3/8" x 1/2" rabbeting; 45 degree x 5/8" chamfering; 1/4" x 3/8” slotting; 1/4" & 1/2" radius round nose; 1/4" & 3/8" radius cove; 3/16", 1/4" & 1/2" radius round over and 1/8" radius roman ogee bit.

Comments about WoodRiver 20 Piece Anti-Kickback Router Router Bit Set 1/2" Shank :

As a Canadian I am always concerned with ordering from American websites. Woodcraft, like tire-rack, was an excellent experience. Now to the routers. I am a beginner and only have experience with 1/4 shank freud routers. I have only had the router bits for a couple days but have tried most of the bits on various test pieces freehanding and on a router table. I have not had any problems and find them slightly better then the 2 or 3 freud 1/4 shank bits. The quality of bits looks excellent but I can't comment on longevity; however, at this price I can't really complain. The only flaw, and it does not really concern me but might bug other people is that the inside plastic piece that holds the bits is a very very tough plastic that makes it extremely difficult to take out the bits. Other then that I really have no complaints.
