Ultra fine grit sandpaper produces the ultimate polished finish! Used for years to restore airline windows to optical clarity, woodworkers have discovered that these incredibly fine abrasive cloths put a polished sheen on bare wood and a handsome luster on finish coatings. This set is ideal for Pen Makers with the paper sized for sanding right on the lathe! Abrasive crystals last up to 15 times longer than normal abrasives. Kit includes: One 3" x 4" piece of each of nine abrasive grits from 1,500 to 12,000 and a special foam sanding block.

    Have some scratched DVDs/CDs or game discs? This kit does the best job at getting those scratches out. My son had some badly scratched XBox games and I tried the toothpaste trick, but that would have taken ages due to the depth of the scratches. I had this kit from when I took out scratches from my acrylic aquarium and figured it would work well for discs - and it did.

    I've used the set for polishing maple, mahogany, cherry, copper, stainless steel, acrylics, and both glass and plastic watch crystals. The foam sanding block is great for more delicate items, while a solid surface works for flat precision and a fingertip for smaller things.

    The micro-mesh sandpaper produces an amazing finish. Such a fine finish the wood look's like glass when sanded to the final grit. Beautiful! I now use the included pad for ALL of my sanding, even when using non-micro mesh paper.
