Designed for smaller lathes, this new chuck from Oneway Manufacturing is loaded with features. Only 3-1/2" in diameter and weighing 3.4 lbs., it features one-handed single key tightening, it's self-centering and its patented profile jaws provide maximum holding power. Both the scroll and base jaws are hardened for long life and smooth operation while the body is nickel plated to resist rust and wear. Comes with #2 Jaw set which will grip a spigot from 1-5/8" to 2-7/8" and expand in a dovetailed recess sized from 2" to 3-3/8". Includes screw center, operating key, T-handle hex wrench, removable threaded adapter and instruction booklet.

    Comments about 1-1/4" x 8 TPI ONEWAY Talon Chuck :

    I bought the Oneway Talon to go with a ten inch midi-lathe that my projects quickly outgrew so I moved on to a sixteen inch lathe. But I have not outgrown the Oneway Talon. This chuck has taken anything and everything I have thrown at it and I know I have overloaded it more than once. It operates very smoothly, is very precise, grips everything well, and in general is an absolute pleasure to use. I purchased a larger and heavier but less expensive chuck from another vendor to handle my bigger projects but I got what I paid for. The larger and less expensive chuck turned out to be less capable than the smaller and lighter Oneway Talon and will almost certainly end up being replaced with a Oneway Stronghold chuck in the near future.
