Product Information:

Electronically varies the speed of your router. This means you’ll have less burning, tear-out, noise and tool wear, and safer use of large diameter panel raising bits. Use it with your router, or any shop tool that has a motor with replaceable brushes. You'll get full horsepower and torque at all speeds from 0 to full RPM. Works on routers up to 3 HP and/or 15 Amps. Features a replaceable fuse for circuit protection, variable speed dial, 3-position speed switch (variable-off-full) and belt clip.

NOTE: This will not work with slow start routers or routers with electronic feedback circuitry.

    A speed control is not designed to work with all tools. It will not work with a soft start router or tools that have built in adjustable speed settings. I really think the sales person should be responsible enough to inform the buyer of its limitations prior to selling one.

    Purchased for a Bosch 3 1/4 HP brush type router. Router just chattered between 0 & 2, ran from 2 to 5 but would not hold a constant speed and from 5 to 10 it ran at full speed. Returned to the store for a refund, purchased another brand and it works beautifully. Don't waste your time or money on this control.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I'm not 100% of this contraption yet. I didn't work for my router (however my router already has a speed control), didn't work for my belt sander (speed control also), here's the kicker: didn't work for my Ridgid oscillating belt/spindle sander. I am yet to try it on my 4" grinder, if it doesn't work for that I will be returning it. Cords are a little stiff.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    This control reduced my router speed by 2000rpm if that. If it wasn't for the difference in the sound, you wouldn't know it worked at all. Turning the dial made no difference whatsoever. I returned the item for a refund.

    i use it on my lathe on my router and on my scrolsaw. its great you just turn the nob and chang the speed. i cant find nothing roung with it
