    I installed the Carter Quick Release on my 14" Jet closed base bandsaw. The instructions were clearly illustrated and simple to follow. Carter includes everything you need, including the drill bit. The Quick Release works like a charm. The red ball on the end of the handle provides a very obvious status of your bandsaw blades tension. More than once, when making my "last visual scan" before shutting off the shop lights I've seen the ball in the wrong position and went over and released tension on the bandsaw blade. I wish I bought this years ago...

    This is a great way to release bandsaw blade tension. Often I would forget to do it. Works well, I did file the support corner a bit to make it easier to use the lever.
