Product Information:

Put your open base saw on wheels with the touch of a toe! Unlike mobile bases, these casters do not change the height of your saw. When the casters are retracted your saw sits solidly on its own legs. The swiveling wheels fit most open base saws. Set of four; all mounting hardware is included. On some saws, drilling may be required for the mounting hardware.Weight capacity is 600Lbs for 4; or 150Lbs each.

    I bought a set of these casters for an old Craftsman saw. The brackets were exactly the right size, and the bottom holes lined up with existing holes. I had to drill two more holes in each leg for the remaining bolts. The lift mechanism worked OK, but it seemed flimsy. Ocassionally the springs slid inboard and the drop mechanism would not work. The biggest problem was that the wheels all tended to point diagonally so that the saw would not roll. When I forced it the wheels dragged and scuffed my floor. I removed the brackets and returned the set to the store for a refund.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I used these retracting casters on the tool table. I mounted my 6" jointer/planer on table. Wheels work great, just be sure to mount them on the table legs low enough so the table is sturdy while in the down position.

    I purchased a set of these to use on my table saw. Within a short amount of time the bearings on two of them had gone out and the table saw was no longer mobile.

    Installed on a 10" table saw made by General. Good idea, but the casters are not made very well and the result is the saw is difficult to move around.
