    I purchased this to hold my lathe tools. The tool holder works well with flat tools that have a large area for contact or tools that are not too heavy. It would not hold my heavier gouges whose metal is small in diameter.

    Comments about 24" Magnetic Tool Holder :

    It holds all of my current lathe tools but I hope that will change soon! It securely holds any tool that has a somewhat flat metal surface. It does not work as well on rounded metal surfaces (large roughing gouge). It also magnetizes the tool which can be good or bad depending on the situation.
